¿HOW DID WE GET HERE?
The vision of our major shareholder and President, Frank Jorge Elias, who had 18 years of experience in telecommunications, has guided us to becoming the first cable operator in our country.
In 1997, due to a lack of quality in locally originated programming, we foresaw the need and opportunity inherent in developing programming to comply with the local audience's needs. And since we began broadcasting, SUPERCANAL has become THE source of a 24/7 service providing a wide variety of quality local programming for the Dominican public. The variety of entertainment and news runs the gamut of compelling local product…comedy, music, hard news, reality and much more.

Ing. Frank Jorge Elías
A Civil Engineer by profession, Mr. Jorge has been involved in several important assignments with the Public Administration since the 1970’s, including is Secretary of Tourism. He is also the visionary responsible for the installation of the first Television Cable System in the Dominican Republic.
